Estado social digital: a transformação digital dos serviços sociais

A digitalização dos serviços sociais foi impulsionada nos últimos anos, tanto por agências internacionais quanto por governos democráticos. Durante a pandemia da Covid-19 essa tendência, que evoluía em ritmo moderado, cresceu velozmente a ponto de criar, em menos de dois anos, um mundo novo para serviços sociais. O estudo apresenta uma revisão do estado atual das discussões que envolvem direitos sociais e a transformação digital nas formas de prestações estatais. Analisa um caso julgado pela justiça holandesa e três relatórios técnicos de organismos internacionais sobre o estabelecimento, definitivo, do Estado Social Digital a partir de 2019. Parece que o sistema de segurança social de nenhuma democracia será capaz de resistir ao fascínio das transformações digitais. Há uma firme aceitação de que o capitalismo entrou em sua fase digital e que é dever do Estado dar à sociedade serviços correspondentes. Esse pensamento alcançou os programas sociais.
