Ethics in Education research: preliminary contributions to content analysis

Abstract

The paper questions the centrality of ethics in the practice of teachers and researchers in Education, asking about its presence or absence in research and student guidance. The main objective is to understand the different meanings of “ethics” in educational research, analyzing recent literature (since 2020) and using Laurence Bardin’s content analysis technique. Divided into three sections, the study addresses the classic definition of ethics, codes and categorizes the definitions found in selected articles, and analyzes these contents. In the end, it is expected that the reflections will serve to improve daily practice and the training of future teachers and researchers, highlighting the importance of ethics and identifying possible gaps.
