  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Guidelines for Authors.
  • All authors are responsible for the accuracy and suitability of the work.
  • The authors declare that they do not violate the rules of ethical conduct of knowledge production and publishing in education.
  • At the time of submission, the metadata of all authors, including those from the ORCID, will be filled in completely.

Author Guidelines

    1. Texts in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French are accepted. Foreign language texts are required to have their titles, abstracts, and keywords in Portuguese and English, except for texts in English, which must have these items translated into Portuguese and Spanish. The texts will be published in their original language. All texts must provide a translation of their titles, abstracts, and keywords into two foreign languages.
    1. The paper should represent a relevant contribution to the specific field of research, and should present a consistent theoretical framework, clear and explicit argumentation, and correct language. The linguistic correctness of the text is the author's sole responsibility.
    2. Texts in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French are accepted. Foreign language texts are required to have their titles, abstracts, and keywords in Portuguese and English, except for texts in English, which must have these items translated into Portuguese and Spanish. The texts will be published in their original language.
    3. Information about the authors must be in the same language as the text.
    4. Articles must contain a title that objectively conveys the general idea of the paper and should be no longer than 15 words.
    5. Each article may have a maximum of three authors who, preferably, participate in research groups. At least one of the authors must hold a doctoral degree. Texts authored or co-authored by undergraduate students, graduates or specialists are not accepted.
    6. Roteiro reserves the right not to publish articles and reviews by the same author (or in co-authorship) at intervals of less than two years. As a result, the author cannot have more than one article in the review process.
    7. The texts must be sent via the online submission system and must not include any authorship identification, including in the file properties. At the time of submission, the metadata for all authors must be filled in completely. The ORCID information for all authors is essential.
    8. Before the submission process, authors are advised to consult previous issues of the Roteiro and carefully review the paper in order to check if it complies with the rules and acceptance criteria of the journal.
    9. The assessment of the article by the ad hoc reviewers is based on the observation of the following aspects: suitability of the abstract (which must include its purpose, subject matter, methodological procedure, and results); theoretical and methodological consistency (with respect to concepts, analytical density, and conclusive ideas); scientific relevance (with respect to the standards of scientific research); originality of the work (with respect to advances in the field of education); compliance with standard language rules, and ethical conduct.
    10. The originals must be written in the official spelling and typed in a Word for Windows word processor, in Times New Roman font, size 12, 1.5 spacing, on A4 paper, top and left margins 3 cm, bottom and right margins 2 cm. Direct textual quotations should be indented 4cm, single spaced, and size 10.
    11. The text should be justified, except for the references, which are aligned to the left margin, single spaced, and single spaced between them.
    12. Articles must contain a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 25 pages, including abstract, notes and references.
    13. Tables, graphs, photographs, and other illustrations will be printed in black and white, so they must be submitted with this configuration and in editable format. They must be numbered, consecutively, in the order included in the text and headed by the title.
    14. The abstract must contain 100 to 250 words and between three and five keywords. For the wording and style of the abstract, observe the ABNT standards.
    15. Footnotes, if any, should be brief and numbered sequentially. The use of bibliographic notes is not allowed.
    16. The list of references must comply with ABNT norms, being ordered alphabetically by the last name of the first author. In the case of first and middle names, only the initial letters must be registered.
