Jurisprudential concept of the environment in brazilian law throuhg a systemic approach

The article aims to analyze interpretative parameters used by Brazilian jurisprudence in conceptualizing the environment. Judgments of the Superior Court of Justice and the Federal Regional Courts were analyzed, supported by Edgar Morin's complex thinking and Niklas Luhmann's Theory of Social Systems. In summary, it was found that the analyzed jurisprudence carries out a reducionist interpretation of the environment, moving away from a multicriterial interpretation capable of dealing with environmental complexity.
