Abstract

The climate crisis caused by global warming highlights the urgent need to enable the decarbonization of production processes in various sectors of the economy. Governments, financial investors, and companies are increasingly dedicating resources to renewable energy projects, according to data agency Bloomberg New Energy Finance, in the first six months of 2023 US$358 billion were invested in renewable energy projects around the world, an increase of 22% compared to the same period in 2022. In this scenario; Bioprospecting production routes based on the genetic and biochemical diversity of the intestinal microbiota of insects such as termites can point to opportunities for developing so-called green technologies. This study uses search platforms such as Pubmed, NCBI, and Science Direct to carry out a free search with keywords related to topics of interest for academic manuscripts, inventions, and biomolecules of interest.
