This is an integrative review that seeks to enumerate and understand through literature reviews the circumstances that permeate the postoperative period of femoral fracture. The process review was based on recommendations from the Rayyan Enterprise conference list, Faster Sistematic Review (“Rayyan - AI Powered Tool for Systematic Literature Reviews”, 2021). Articles published between 2010 and 2023 that carried out a qualitative study related to hip fractures in the elderly were examined. The searches took place in August in the Pubmed, MEDLINE, Scopus and Capes databases. The selection comprised three stages: search, pre-selection and inclusion of articles. The following descriptors in health sciences (DeCS) were used: (hip fracture) AND (elderly) AND (qualitative). 41 articles were identified in the databases searched through the search strategies. After reading the titles and abstracts, articles were considered potentially eligible for inclusion in the study and were retrieved for reading in full. After complete reading, the 9 articles were selected by applying the established inclusion and exclusion criteria. The postoperative period of femur fracture in the elderly is a fragile moment that generates the experience of a new routine and the uncertainty of recovering their past physiological activities. The conception of health professionals and caregivers is decisive for your better recovery.
