The deficiency of Vitamin D, Zinc, and Iron can exacerbate the effects of COVID-19; studying its occurrence in deaths improves diagnosis and health interventions. This study describes the occurrence of Vitamin D, Zinc, and Iron deficiencies in COVID-19 deaths in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, in the municipality of Campo Grande, during the period from 2020 to 2021. Clinical-laboratory and epidemiological records positive for COVID-19 by RT-PCR, with signs and symptoms starting during the period, and controls with multivariate analysis were used. A total of 75 cases were identified; the age group with 57.3% of the cases was from 35 to 44 years old, and the most frequent signs and symptoms were headache and oxygen saturation ≤ 95%, with a frequency of 86.6%. The length of hospital stays of 15 days or more showed a strong association with deaths. Given the analysis of the nutritional deficiency of Vitamin D, Zinc, and Iron in non-resident indigenous patients with COVID-19 deaths in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, the importance of interventions for the health promotion of this population is highlighted.
