Announcement of improvements

For the Authors, responsible for the quality content we publish in our journal, we present a new Instructions for the Authors section. We know that, depending on the journal, the submission process might be unnecessarily confusing, laborious, and discouraging. As we believe that the time and energy investment should ideally be aimed towards the scientific content of the work, we decided for a streamlined system: only two files with flexible formatting. The published paper will still have the same standard we have been using for several issues.

 

The Reviewers are a fundamental piece for the functioning of any scientific journal, and we believe that their voluntary work must be recognized properly. Thus, now we have a new Ad-hoc reviewers section, where we will list, by the end of every year, a list of all collaborators of this period, alongside their affiliations by the time of their contribution. This system guarantees, at the same time, recognition and privacy on which works were reviewed by each collaborator, assuring the basic principles of the peer-review system used in our editorial workflow.

 

Other novelties are the links to the UNOESC Post-Graduation Course in Biosciences and Health, responsible for maintaining this journal, and to the Google Scholar bibliometric indicators. These additions favor a better knowledge of our journal and its coverage.

 

More news will be posted soon, because we are working for a 2022 characterized by many, improvements, innovations, and productions.
