Types of personality and satisfaction in the work of professionals of the magistrary of a school of the state education network, belonging to the 5th education management of the municipality of Xanxerê

This study is linked to the research line of Education, Diversity and Social Inclusion of the Group of Studies and Research in Cultural Patrimony (GEPPAC) of the University of the West of Santa Catarina. The objective of this research was to analyze the relationship between the personality typology of Holland and the satisfaction with the nature of the work. This was a descriptive qualitative research, approved by the CEP of Unoesc Xanxerê, whose subjects were seven teachers of a school of the public school of Xanxerê, Santa Catarina. For the data collection, the Occupational Satisfaction Scale was used, validated for the national context by Siqueira (2005), and documentary analysis of the Teachers' Professions, according to SED, to meet the following analysis dimensions: the personality related to job assignments, satisfaction with the nature of work and the relationship of satisfaction with the nature of work and personality type. Of the seven professionals participating in the research, six of them presented similarities between the personality typology and the position they hold, resulting in the identification with the area and the function exercised. Five demonstrated a high degree of satisfaction with the nature of work, expressing self-knowledge through professional choice and great identification with function. Two professionals presented a high degree of dissatisfaction with the nature of work due to the poor remuneration and the devaluation to the qualification of the work performed. It was verified that the professional who possesses self-knowledge of his / her personality presents a greater identification with the work performed, resulting in a greater professional satisfaction.
